During the planning of the store, we were constantly changing layouts and philosophies to try to find the best way for merchandising and selling our large bulk product range. DDI were very helpful in working with us during this dynamic time by quickly responding to our changing layouts with possible bulk bin types, prices and lead times. The decision was to install the ‘Turtle’ into the display areas for power tools to help reduce shrinkage in this department. DDI provided and helped install the ‘Turtle’ loss prevention system into their South Geelong store, which replaced the heavy gauge cables. This helped provide a nicer presentation and made it easier for the customer to handle the products, while at the same time providing security for the tools. Due to the success at South Geelong, Mitre 10 rolled the ‘Turtle’ out to another 11 stores and it has been performing very well. In fact not one tool has been stolen with a ‘Turtle’ protecting it. I would highly recommend the ‘Turtle’ loss prevention system to help reduce shrinkage from our experience over the past 6 years.
